Manly Candles in the shop!

Candles are for girls, right?  WRONG!  Candles are for men too.  Candles are for everyone!  Everywhere you go you find candles in all sorts of 'flavors' many of which are heavily floral or food scented.  I don't know about you, but I appreciate a spicy or  herbal scent in my candles.  They can be found, of course.  But the guys don't always appreciate the enjoyment of candles.

Introducing a new line of candles and hot melt cubes with manly scents.
"Handlebar Candles" are made by a local candle craftsman with natural soy wax and
 metal free wicks.

The signature manly scents are unique and delicious!  Some of the scents include 'Aged Leather,'  'Old Pipe,' 'Grandfathers Pipe,' and 'Muskwood.'  There are over a dozen different scents, each one better than the last.

The hot melt cubes are also made from soy wax and include all of the signature manly scents for those who would rather avoid an open flame.

The 4 oz. tin candles are $6.00 each and the wax cubes are $5.00 per box of 6 cubes.

Open House

You are cordially invited to our Open House on Thursday, August 18, 2016.  The Open House will begin at 4:00 pm and will continue until 9:00 pm.

Come celebrate our new location and Roxanne’s graduation from massage school with us!

Special guests are Don and Jan Stover with the Owl Creek Gazette making one of their “On The Road” appearances.

Also, Lenora Henson, author of the “Wicked Garden” book series will be here doing a book signing and visiting with the fans of her work.

And just for fun, there will be balloon animals, refreshments, and giveaways.
Its full moon that night, therefore, weather permitting, there will be a bonfire in the back yard for any who want to sit around a fire pit and visit.

Visitors will also be able to taste test the August "Tea for Two -- Full Moon.”

New this summer!! Gluten-free baked goodies!

Time is flying by since I moved into the new place!  I love the location and you can't beat the commute to work!  As of today, there are only 6 weeks left of schooling and I will be finished with massage school and soon will be accepting clients!

In the meantime, here at the shop we have a new product/service we are doing on a trial basis for the summer.  Each week, Wendy is baking up a tasty treat in the kitchen that is available for purchase the rest of the week.  But wait!  These aren't just any treat!  These are gluten-free baked goods that are a healthier choice for those who have gluten intolerance.  Some of the items are also free of white sugar and none of them have artificial sweeteners.

This week's fresh baked goodie is the Chocolate Almond Brownie.  This brownie is gluten free, has no white sugar (honey is the sweetener), and is made with dark chocolate and almond butter.  They are sooooo good!  But also a great treat for the gluten intolerant!

Also available is the Cinnamon Apple Muffin.  This muffin is gluten-free and also has no white refined sugar.  Instead, it is sweetened with Agave nectar and applesauce.  They were baked last week and wrapped and frozen so they will be almost-fresh this week.  They are very yummy and a good choice for a sweet breakfast treat.

Saturday, June 18th the shop on College will be closed but we will be present at the Greenville Graffiti Car Show in the office of the Owl Creek Gazette.  We will be having the muffins and the brownies available for purchase there as well as the Tea by Two herbal teas that we have collaborated on with the Owl Creek Gazette.  We will be having all of the teas we have created for this line with us. Be sure to come by and check us out while you are up town checking out the cars and enjoying the flash back to Happy Days.

While I am on the subject of the Teas by Two, let me tell you what we have for the month of June as well as a special tea to commemorate the car show event.  The June tea is "Papa was a Rolling Stone" which is a chocolate mint flavored tea that is excellent brewed and then poured over ice.

The specialty tea for the car show is "These Happy Days" and is a black tea with toasted coconut and dried pineapple. A naturally sweet tea that is excellent brewed and poured over ice for these hot days of summer.

New Location open for business

Well, we have done it! We have moved everything to the new location! The shop is ready for business. I realize it may take a little while for our customers to find us, but I am confident that you all will! We are just a few blocks east of our previous location on College ave.

We are located in the big white house on the corner of Elm & College. The side entrance facing Elm street lets you right in to the new shop. There is parking available on our drive way and when available, there is street parking on Elm. College students tend to take up the Elm street parking during school hours.

We don't have our official signage ready yet but that will be up on the house in the next couple weeks. In the meantime, here is a photo of the house in which we are located. What is even cooler is that, if needed, we do have wheel chair access available through the garage!!

The yard/garden is a little rough yet, but that will change over the next several weeks.

New Location Information

It's official!  We are now ready to announce our upcoming new location.  We are going to be moving to 403 E. College Ave here in Greenville, IL.  The shop is going to be located in a house on the corner of Elm & College just 4 blocks east of our current location.  The house is across Elm St. from Greenville College and we have a couple of off-street parking places available.

The target date is to be completely reset and open for business by April 5th.  The major move will take place the last week of March and hopefully there will be minimal time that we are closed to customers.   We will be out of our current location by April 1. In the meantime, we are open for business as usual at 211 W College Ave, Greenville, IL

New website in the works!

Welcome to the new website for Terra Mater Botanicals!  This is going to be a transition so the site isn't completely functional at the moment.  With changes being made to hosting and PayPal, I have found that it is going to be more economical as well as more informational and convenient to switch my website to this new format.  I hope you follow my site here and keep updated on changes and additions on a regular basis!!
